Can I change the chainring ratio on of my 5-arm Campagnolo chainset to make it a compact?

Yes you can change your 52/36 semi compact into a 50/34 compact & vice versa as the offset BCD (bolt circle diameter) is 110mm. But a standard 53/39 135mm BCD cannot be changed.
